Another fun evening of indoor soccer at the Calgary Soccer Centre tonight! Once again we enjoyed a solid 2 hours of field time allowing all 24 of us the opportunity to work up a good sweat. The game remained very close for the first two frames but Team Blue pulled away in the 3rd and final period scoring several unanswered goals to defeat Gold by a score of 11-7. If it werent for the strong play of the Chiragintor (in goal for Blue) the game would have likely been much closer. Afterwards many of us headed upstairs to the Soccer Centre Pub where we enjoyed some well deserved ice cold beverages. As usual, a great time was had by all.
Tonight's "Player of the Game" award was presented immediately following the game to Esteban Espinoza, a relative newcomer to the COC. Esteban has been attending indoor soccer regularly since joining the club and really seems to enjoy it. He displays great skill on the field and is a true team player who always tries to include his teammates in the play. He plays hard but also knows how to keep the mood light. It has been a pleasure getting to know him. Congratulations on your award Esteban!
