In spite of the cold wind and the uphill hike, we made it!

Rawson Lake was calm this morning but we did experience a few specs of snow as we arrived. On the way up to Sarrail Ridge, we encountered a group of hikers from Hikers Anonymous who were no match for us, as we left them behind and claimed the best, and, surely the very coldest, lunch spot up on the ridge. We quickly retreated to the shelter of the few trees located on the ridge and ate our lunches out of the cold wind.

The view of Upper and Lower Kananaskis Lakes and Mt. Indefatigable to the north and Rawson Lake and Mount Sarrail to the south was spectacular from the vantage point of Sarrail Ridge.

We had a good day and certainly got a terrific workout climbing up the steep slope to the ridge and, the cooler temperatures assured that we did not overheat on the way up. Thanks to all of you who participated for making this such a pleasant hike!
