Write Up:We had a wonderful day skiing to Sundance Lodge - perfect blue skies, sun, started in -20ºC and warmed up to -15ºC for a bit. Chilly, but beautiful. We had lunch on comfy chairs and benches on the verandah of the lodge. The wooden swinging moose has a broken leg, so it could benefit from a bit of wood glue from anyone else who's heading out there. The Healy Creek Trail (first 1.9km) was freshly trackset after this past week's dump of snow, and we broke trail for the rest. On the return half of us took the 'shortcut', which is an officially, marked trail, but narrower than the main trail. More ups and downs, switchbacks, mini ski jumps, trees, and rocks added some excitement, which meant that the shortcut crew arrived exhausted at the trailhead a few minutes after those who stuck to the main trail. Great day day out! Would love to post some actual photos, but must have put my camera on the roof and driven off :-o. Went back later, but no luck, so if anyone finds an old Canon G10 around Healy Creek, e-mail the coordinator :-).
