Write Up:Another great adventure! The mountain biking trek through the Jumpingpound foothills at night with a great group of 9 hearty souls beats sitting around watching Monday night football by say a factor 10! The temperature hovering around 8°C with a clear star filled sky and the wind howling past making tree's creek, made the mood surreal.
The trail was in fine shape, very dry with just a few icy spots, but the noticeable feature last night was the amount of freshly downed tree's crossing the trail. There were quite a few more obstacles to watch out for and crossover/around than a couple of weeks ago. There were only a couple of mechanical glitches, a broken chain which was fixed in a jiffy as well flat tire. Who knew you could but a 26" tube on a 29" wheel and make it hold air, Brad & Gord now know.
