It was a great day to go to Lake Louise. We enjoyed partially blue skies and fresh snow on the trees.
The snowshoe trip to Lake Agnes and back took about three hours. The trail was packed enough that there were some people just hiking the trail. We came down the horse path trail, to make a loop, which was less used so a bit more snow on the trail.
We had lunch at the tea house but didn’t linger too long as we started to get cold.
After we dropped our snowshoes back in the car, we all went for a hot drink at the Chateau Deli. Then we had an hour or so to look at the ice sculptures. They were very impressive especially against the mountain back drop.
