Write Up:
Well, the skies didn't exactly cooperate with our trip, as the sun at the start of the trip soon gave way to clouds. Later on, for a while, there was sun, but it was found on the other side of the Trans Canada Highway, making for some interesting photo opportunities.

The trail up to Tower Lake was fairly packed for most of the way. Some of us decided to wear our snowshoes immediately and some waited. Good job Ken on making it all the way up without them. Soon after, he sank pretty well.

We managed to make it up to Tower Lake in about two and a quarter hours, spending about an hour at the lake. Overall, we managed to complete this in just under 5 hours. A couple of pairs of ladies were the only people we passed by on the entire trail, though a dog was running back down away from us for a while.

To try something different in Canmore, we went to The Georgetown Inn for food and drinks, thanks to the suggestion by Paul. While there, Paul unleashed his fountain of knowledge for all things outdoors!

Thanks to Paul for helping me out with the carpool. Hope to see you all soon!
