Round 4 of COC ball hockey at NSD was our best night yet as far as female attendance goes, with 7 joining in on the action this week! For the third consecutive time the game was decided by a single goal and for the second week in a row the score was 22-21! Once again Al-Noor and the Chiraginator elected to play between the pipes and did a fantastic job. Both tenders put on a great show, making many great saves at key points throughout the contest. After 3 periods totaling over 100 minutes of playing time the score was tied 21-21 and sudden death overtime was once again needed to declare a winner. Team Green's veteran all-star forward Duane Verity hit the post in the opening 2 minutes of OT before Franco scored what appeared to be the winner around the 10 minute mark only to have the goal called back due to goaltender interference. Finally, after many great chances at both ends, team Red scored the eventual winner on a heartbroken Al-Noor who had no chance on the play. Both goalies played such a great game it was a shame there could only be one winner.
The COC Stanley Cup was presented immediately following the final buzzer to team RED before heading upstairs to the NSD pub for a few drinks and munchies. As usual it was a ton of fun and we are already looking forward to the next game! Thanks again to everyone for another fun and injury free event! Much appreciated gang!

Special thanks to Mandy for treating me to a BIGGIE SIZE Wendy's combo just before the game. Although she initially hesitated at the additional cost of upsizing, she eventually gave in - Thanks Mandy! Oh and I almost forgot she wanted me to say she played well tonight. Can anyone verify this?
Congratulations to Chirag who is the only participant to have attended every COC ball hockey event this season and still remain undefeated!!
