Our small group started hiking Sulphur Mountain at 9:45 and reached the upper gondola terminal at 11:30 AM in sultry warm weather conditions. Then we turned south and walked down the ridge. We began some scrambling over about three small rocky peaks to the south and eventually stopped for lunch around 1:30 PM. We didn't have time to do the final big peak to the south. We then turned back, retracing our steps to the upper terminal and had ice cream there around 3 PM. We hiked down, back at the car at 4 PM and made a quick trip to view the Banff Springs Hotel which appeared to be popular as ever.
