Let's just say there are a few muscles that I hadn't been using during the hiking season!
There were 3 of us, Graeme, Lora and I. Only one stupid fall (we won't say who that was except to say that i'm not as bruised as I thought I might be!)
We all started off pretty rusty (like 10 years since the last skate rusty), but were pretty powered on by worse skaters than us. After 10 laps of the Oval, and a couple rest breaks, our legs were getting rubbery so we decided to call it a night. I'd do it again, it was a good work out. Let's hope for a few more folks next time.
If anyone asks, it's $4.75 to get in and $4.50 to rent the skates. Lora might rent the speed skates next time, don't know how much they are to rent.

Skating was fun. We were all a little nervous at first, but then we got more used to it and it was good. Lana fell once, but Graham and I remained on our feet. A few close calls however!!
I would definately go again. Will try the speed skates one of these nights.

I got in free with my U of C id (cool)... didn't know i could do that. Wasn't crowded, lots of beginner skaters and not many speedsters or show offs.
