Write Up:McConnell Ridge is definately a ride for ADVANCED RIDERS ONLY. I would call this a double black diamond in relation to anything else in Bragg or K-Country. McConnell Ridge starts off on a very narrow single track that is very new so it's soft, rocky, rooty and technical. Fun tho.
Then came the rock slabs that are short but very steep. Took my breath away a couple of times. You come to the edge of some drops and you can't see the bottom so you can't second guess yourself. Once we reached the high point (amazing views from here) and started down there were many rock slabs but now there was loose rock and scree on top of it so it made it even more challenging. Also route finding while you're trying to navigate some really tricky sections added to the challenge.
Due to the technical riding the trail takes quite a while to ride. No fast flowy sections to speak of.
We had a great day regardless.
