Hi Everyone,
I am slowing down in my old age. My knee injury seems to have healed nicely but that’s no excuse. You should have had a note from me long before now.
Thank you so much for your efforts this past year.
The garage sales have evolved dramatically in recent years. April 11, 2008 was the first time I had so much as one person (Rhonda S.) help with presale step up. The latest sale had more than a dozen volunteers working together on Friday set up. Even more recently, packing up was my solitary duty. Sept. 13, 2010 there were four of us making short work of a very difficult task. The figures (below) attest that I, simply could not have done it without each of you.
Special thanks to Travis M., the District Manager of Coco Brooks. I had approached a number of other companies to help nourish the volunteers with no success. We won’t name those companies but Coco Brooks stands alone, above all! They step up with the most amazing pizzas and pastas. Coco Brooks makes the volunteers feel special. Thank you!
I have already gathered loads of great merchandise into storage for next spring’s sale. I hope everyone will again be able to participate in 2011.
