Write Up:
Our final game of the summer was an action packed thriller that required overtime to declare a winner. The first period saw plenty of great end to end action as teams headed into the intermission separated by a single goal. In the 2nd, Green dominated outscoring Red 8-3 to take a 12-6 lead into the 3rd and final frame. Down but not out, Red stormed back in the final 36 minutes to tie the game and force overtime. Just minutes in, veteran Marcel Bourque redirected a shot up and over a sprawling Duane Verity to become the overtime hero in our 19th and final game of the season! Congratulations Marcel and the rest of Team Red on your well deserved 18-17 Stanley Cup victory tonight
