Sun, Aug 14 2005 - Biking and Picnic at Chestermere (View Original Event Details)
|
What a great day. The sun was out, it wasn’t too hot, and there was a light breeze blowing. Unfortunately, in Calgary the wind always seems to be blowing in your face no matter what direction you are biking in. On the ride back to Chestermere we definitely picked up a good headwind. That is why the skaters were waiting around for the bikers for a while at the picnic area. It was the wind that slowed us down. I didn’t have to buy anyone a beer, because no one was brave enough to give Rhonda a nudge when we rode past the skaters. I hope everyone had fun. Thanks for everyone for bearing with me during the carpooling, and thanks to Don and Luc for all the messing around they did putting the bikes in the back of Don’s truck (which turned out not to be necessary). It was a nice country pedal perfect for a Sunday.
