The Saddleback and Sheol Valley loop is one of the best trails to view larches in their golden splendor...and we were not disappointed. The perfectly clear blue sky was a fitting backdrop. By making a loop, we saw lots of new mountains, views, rivers and waterfalls at every turn. The loop took almost 7 hours. After the hike, we picked up snacks at Laggans bakery and enjoyed them on a sunny picnic table by the river.
A note for larch watchers: The colours are just past their prime on this hike but still striking.
Welcome to our new member Olivia who just moved here on Sunday and has already found us! A big thank you to Terry and Ian for driving. Laura L
