Sat, Jul 30 2005 - Canoeing at Glenmore Reservoir - 10AM (View Original Event Details)

We were nine very enthusiastic paddlers as we set out to canoe this morning. What a gorgeous morning it was. Plus 28 degrees!! With one person who didn't show, we managed quite well with three people in one canoe and everyone was fantastic when it came to trading canoes, paddling buddies, and bow/stern/middle positions. Thank you for your cooperation!
We paddled to the Weasel Head area and then continued to the sailing club area and boat launch docks. I hope we managed to move quick enough before Maylis got a picture of our version of Leap Frog as we traded Bow for Stern. We played Frogger with the Heritage Park Boat (well...this may be a tidbit of a lie as we waited to see where it was going first before crossing the reservoir). Then ended with a game of tag that worked really well with four canoes.
Everyone paddled great - those who were a bit rusty did an awesome job remembering their skills. And hope to see everyone out again, it was a pleasure, Sibel and Stephanie!
