Write Up:It was a great day for rollerblading! The overcast sky did lighten up and the cloud effects were fascinating to watch! We were in a drag race with a large group of runners throughout the evening - I saw them meeting by the Edworthy bridge and as soon as they began to move, we shot across the bridge. Four runners got past Kathy, and soon Kathy passed them. We were good until the downhill by the 2nd train crossing, when the four runners appeared again, even a fifth crossed before we did. Then we were on the straight away and easily rolled by them. By the time we got to Eau Claire, we managed a few minutes to conference, when the runners appeared. Spirits were high as we got a wave hello and goodbye from the lead runner. We never did see those runners again as we headed back to the meeting place. Plans were laid for a Monday night rollerblade and cheap wings during our second conference on the Memorial Overpass. Thanks to all who came out and see you soon on another rollerblading adventure!
