Well that was another epic Day!
Our adventures today included the following trails ;
Starting from the Fernie Aquatic Center we climbed some trail that JIM K. ‘sort of knew’ and eventually got to RIDGEMONT ROAD where we climbed to the start of KIDS STUFF. We then rode KIDS STUFF onto SPLITTING BEARS and then onto HESSIAN.
Ending back on to RIDGEMONT ROAD we this time climbed to DEADFALL. We then rode DEADFALL onto LITTLE CHAINRING BIG TROUBLE onto the COAL DISCOVERY TRAIL and then onto OLD STUMPY.
We then took a well deserved rest for lunch at the Aquatic Center.
After lunch a slightly smaller group (7 of 9) headed out on RIDGEMONT ROAD west to climb ROOTS and HYPER VENTILATION. I climbed the road to the ROOTS trailhead where JIM K. led a more strenuous routing to the trailhead. From the apex of the climb we descended on HYPER EXTENTION and ROOTS EXTENTION (yee haaa).
27 kilometers of riding with 975 meters of climbing & with the JIM K. routing, 29 kilometers of riding with 1150 meters of climbing, well done!!
