Our 90th COC Indoor Soccer match drew a nice mix of very talented regulars and new comers. The game remained close throughout as teams battled hard creating plenty of great scoring chances at each end. Both squads consistently demonstrated great sportsmanship, encouraged one another and played well as a team. It was an exciting match and at the end of the evening, Gold emerged with a 9-7 victory (thanks in part to my questionable goaltending and a nice goal by Chris on his own team) LOL
Tonight’s "Player of the Game" award was presented immediately following the game to newcomer Melissa Ebers, who despite playing with us for the first time looked as though she had been a part of the group for months. Her positive energy, solid playmaking skills and constant encouragement of her teammates made her an easy choice for tonight’s award. It was a pleasure having her join us and I look forward to sharing many more events with her in the future. Congratulations Melissa!
After the game, several of us made our way to Boston Pizza in Riverbend for some refreshments and munchies before heading home. Thanks to all for a great night!
