Season 4 Week 22

A full house of 48 enthusiastic COC’ers turned up at St Stephen Junior High School tonight to compete for the most coveted prize in all of COC sports, the Dodge Ball Cup and vie for the right to have their name forever engraved on the infamous, Dodge Ball Wall of Fame! As customary, participants received their team assignment based on the playing card they randomly selected from the deck. Each player then received a complimentary Easter Egg before gathering together with their fellow teammates to introduce themselves and come up with a team name. After a few minutes of bonding, team names were submitted and the quest for GOLD began with the first of 20 round robin match ups.

Each team played 10 times to determine their seeding for the playoffs. Super Bloopers lead the pack with a respectable 7-2-1 performance followed closely by Fiery EggSquisites at 5-4-1. In third place, Short Bus finished with 3 victories while Sofa King Good managed a 2-6-2 result.

In the semi-finals, tournament favourite Super Bloopers made short work of Sofa King Good defeating them in 2 straight games to earn a birth in the gold medal series while Fiery EggSquisites downed a tough Short Bus squad 2-1.

In the medal round, both series required a tie breaker to determine the winner. Sofa King Good outlasted the Short Bus to claim the bronze while Super Bloopres dropped their opener against the Fiesty EggSquisites but recovered quickly to take the series 2-1 and capture the gold. Congratulations Super Bloopers on your well deserved Dodge Ball Cup victory tonight!
