Write Up:Our stars were aligned today! We had gorgeous weather, lots of sunshine and no wind at all
for our lengthy summit visit. After dining, some choose to nap on the edge, others explored
and the rest took photos. We were first on the trail that was lined with wild flowers of all
kinds, we were alone for a while on top and it never did get very busy the whole day. Even
though it was hot, we had the energy and we’re able to fulfill our curious appetites by
reaching the top of that rocky ridge that beckoned for our attention. After ascending the
steep scree slope, it was nice to discover a wide-open grassy meadow filled with flowers and
also seeing this could be an area to explore and spend time another day. Thank you to
everyone for joining me today and making this a fun day being out and about and thank you
to Peter for helping with the driving.
