Fri, Aug 18 2006 - Taylor Lake - Dawdlers and Slowpokes (View Original Event Details)
|
We were accosted right at the trailhead by a warden warning us to keep the dogs on leash all day - there was a grizzly in our area with her two cubs, believed to be enroute to Taylor Lake (popular destination). So, I did my usual "nazi" routine keeping the group tightly together for the day, but I think everyone still had a good time. We took the standard route up to Taylor Lake, had lunch, and then at Ed's suggestion, continued on to Lake O'Brien, before returning to our cars. It was a perfect day, and 17.8km was just enough!
