Sat, Jun 15 2013 - Forgetmenot Ridge & On & On (View Original Event Details)
|
As the “hike description” stated, hiking Forgetmenot Ridge can be memorable for many reasons. The creek crossing was very cold and up to knee deep at times. The very steep ascent route was well worth it for the views once we reached the top. Not only was the Ridge itself like an energizer bunny going on and on and on but so were all today’s participants. We were a group of ten strong hikers that seemed to not be able to get enough so we kept going on and on and on. Time and weather were on our side so we did add on hiking the two additional arms of the Ridge.
How fortunate were we to have ideal weather conditions over top of us for our entire eight- hour hike when we could see dark clouds and storms in every direction in the far off distance. We kept an eye on the sky much of the way just in case.
Thank you everyone for joining in on making this day full of fun on Forgetmenot Ridge. Thank you to Mary and Annie for helping me to get everyone from the car pool to the trial head and back again.
