Write Up:This hike was spectacular! Most of the group (including myself) were new to this hike, making the experience extra special. Clear, sunny skies greeted us as we began our hike which did start out at a cool +4. We made very good time to Bourgeau Lake, beating the sun around Mt. Bourgeau so our stay was cool and shady for our snack break. We observed some wild life as well along with a couple there for a polar bear swim, interestingly completed without apparel, much to our surprise. Our climb to Harvey Pass took us by the two lakes (former with no names) now named Big Leonard Lake and Little Leonard Lake. Harvey Pass & Harvey Lake were reached in short order where Adrian had reserved a table for 12. At this point we had all joined (or rejoined) the 1,000M club. After lunch, some of the group took on the challenge of climbing Mt. Bourgeau while the remainder of the group enjoyed the sights from the pass. The majority of the hardy souls climbed within 100M of the summit before turning around due to time constraints - they have no joined the 1,400M club. A couple of others called the contest quits part way up joining the 1,200M club at that time. Our journey down was through wonderful bright sunshine, great pine scents and great company.
