A fun evening of indoor soccer was had by all as a great group of enthusiastic COC’ers gathered together at the Subway Soccer Centre tonight for the 117th edition of this exciting event! After welcoming brand new club members Amanda & Paul, play got under way with some quick goals by the Gold squad who jumped out to an early 3-0 lead before Blue finally answered with one of their own late in the frame. In the second, Blue continued their comeback, eventually grabbing the lead and cruising to a 10-7 victory.
Tonight's "Player of the Game" award was presented immediately following the match to Trudy Chim, who despite not playing with us in over 4 years, put in a solid effort for the Gold squad and came close to scoring on several occasions tonight. Trudy has been with the COC for 6 years and has participated mainly in volleyball and soccer events. She is a very friendly individual who enjoys meeting new people and just getting out to have a little fun whenever her schedule permits. She always demonstrates good sportsmanship and is a pleasure to have on any event. It was great to have her join us again and we look forward to seeing more of her in the future. Congratulations Trudy on your well deserved award tonight.
