Our day began bright, sunny and quite cold (-15) not really welcome seeing it isn't officially winter yet. Never the less, we all trooped out to Bragg Creek to enjoy this wonderful day. The trail for the most part is snow covered with greater accumulations near the top of the pass. Snowshoes would really have made a difference - good thing I told everyone not to both, so we all headed up with our icers instead. The trip took longer than regular hiking speed so we arrived at the pass in about 3 hours. There we enjoyed the sunshine and beautiful scenery as we had lunch. After, we gathered for a moment (10 seconds or so) of silence to remember those who gave their lives and those who protect us today. Afterwards, we shared on how we reflect on this day and what it means to us. Quite a few people shared some personal stories and in that backdrop, were very touching. On the return trip, Adrian displayed the proper technique for a reverse snow angel by diving face first into the snow, truly making this event a "Powderface" hike.
