Write Up:Snowshoeing to the top of Blueberry Hill was a thrilling way to ring in 2014. With the help of
a GPX file to follow, a pink ribbon tied here and there plus a very, very faint trail every now
and then, we found our way to the summit. The view was amazing and we enjoyed lunch
there under a blue and sunny sky with no wind. We added a little more adventure to our day
following the ski trail down the Hill to where a few took time to play in the meadow offering
the rest of us loads of entertainment. We made our way along the creek for a couple of
kilometers back to the official snowshoe trail through the trees then with a little more
elevation we were at the Hydroline where we made a beeline to the bottom. Thank you for
joining me in kicking off 2014 on the right snowshoe and for making it such a fun filled day.
These events can only happen if we have drivers, so a big thank you to both Keith and Mick
(extra thank you to Mick for stepping in at the last minute to drive when I lost my nerve) for
volunteering to drive today.
Happy New Year!
