Write Up:WIND-E! Despite the bright beautiful sunshine, mild temperatures and clear blue sky there was no escaping the relentless wind today. It was definitely a challenging ride out but we eventually made it to Bragg Creek in a little over 2 hours. While there, we enjoyed a lengthy well deserved lunch break before heading back to Calgary a little after 3:00pm. With the wind at our backs and a favourable grade for the majority of the final 30km the ride home was a sweet one, taking just over an hour to complete. Overall the roads were in good shape, the traffic was light and the event was completed very close to the scheduled 5 hours. Many thanks to Rob & Lois for joining me on my first ever cycle event. It was a great day!
