Tonight, close to 50 COC’ers helped me celebrate my 700th coordinated event on my 7th anniversary with the club! It was awesome to have such a wide variety of members in attendance including some I was meeting for the very first time and others I hadn’t seen in years! After settling in, we all enjoyed the Schanks “Tailgate Party” featuring a make your own burger buffet complete with salad, beans and corn on the cob. Afterwards, we took a moment to recognize Casey who was also celebrating a milestone tonight, his 300th event with the club. In honour of this special occasion, we presented him with a framed 8 x 10 collage featuring highlights of many of his past events.

After dinner, everyone received a little 7th Heaven treat bag containing a few goodies and a playing card. Then, using a second deck with odds of approximately 1 in 7, seven lucky winners were drawn – each receiving a Cineplex Odeon gift certificate.

By now, attendees were becoming more and more restless for a taste of Fluffy’s latest delicious baked creations that she, Marvin and Alexia had worked hard to prepare throughout the weekend. So fearing for my own safety, dessert was promptly served at this time. Needless to say, the angel cake pops and rainbow cupcakes were a huge hit!

Finally, we finished off the evening with a little billiards and of course, some action packed 10 pin bowling. I must admit it was a lot of fun letting Franco win (shhh don’t tell him, but we're trying to help build his confidence). LOL

Many thanks to a fantastic group of COC’ers for making tonight such a memorable evening for me!

See you again soon!
