Despite waking up this morning to overcast skies and showers, we decided to go ahead as planned with today's event and hope for the best. The gamble paid off as the clouds began to break up as soon as we arrived in Canmore and other than a few brief cloud bursts, we pretty much escaped the rain. It was a beautiful day, with plenty of gorgeous fall colours to enhance the already spectacular views. We enjoyed a very relaxing 90 minute lunch break at the Johnston's Canyon café (which closes for the season on Oct 25th) before tackling the 47km journey back to Canmore, arriving just after 6pm. Many thanks to Rob and Gerard for joining me today, it was fantastic!
