Despite the promising forecast, the sunshine eluded us most of the day and the winds were a tad distracting during lunch by the Lake but thankfully we didn't get discouraged and soldiered on to the Pass where the views were spectacular and well worth the extra effort. The trail, although quite muddy at times, was easy to follow and the grade quite manageable throughout. Considering the distance (19+km) and elevation (1000+m) it didn't feel nearly as overwhelming as we expected. Our total travel time (including lunch etc) was just under 7.5 hours. If you have yet to hike Bourgeau Lake, traveling beyond to Harvey Pass (2.3km & 310m) is an absolute must!
