Season 7 Week 8

After a month long absence, dodge ball returned with a vengeance tonight as another 40+ eager participants gathered together at Vincent Massey School to compete for the most coveted prize in all of COC sports, the Dodge Ball Cup and vie for the right to have their name forever engraved on the infamous, Dodge Ball Wall of Fame! As customary, participants received their team assignment based on the playing card they randomly selected from the deck then gathered together with their fellow teammates to introduce themselves and come up with a team name. After a few minutes of bonding, team names were submitted and the quest for GOLD began with the first of 20 round robin match ups.

Each team played 10 times to determine their seeding for the playoffs. Hometown KRU (7-3) edged out Ready Set Die (6-4) for top spot while Win or Lose We Booze finished right behind at 5-5. Last but not least, Don't Eat Yellow Snow posted a disappointing 2-8 result.

In the semi-finals, Ready Set Die made quick work of Win or Lose We Booze defeating them in 2 straight games to advance to the gold while top seed Hometown KRU required a tie breaker to get by a feisty Don't Eat Yellow Snow squad.

In the medal round, both series required exciting tie breakers to determine a winner. Cellar Dwellers Don't Eat Yellow Snow upset Win or Lose We Booze to steal the bronze while Hometown KRU outlasted Ready Set Die to capture the gold! Congratulations Hometown KRU on your well earned Dodge Ball Cup victory tonight!
