Season 7 Week 11

A nice sized group of 26 enthusiastic participants gathered together at Vincent Massey School tonight to compete for the most coveted prize in all of COC sports, the Dodge Ball Cup and vie for the right to have their name forever engraved on the infamous, Dodge Ball Wall of Fame! As customary, participants received their team assignment based on the playing card they randomly selected from the deck. Individuals then gathered together with their fellow teammates to introduce themselves and come up with a team name. After a few minutes of team bonding, team names were submitted and the quest for GOLD began with the first of 20 round robin match ups.

Each squad played 10 times to determine their seeding for the playoffs. Teams jockeyed for position throughout but when the dust finally settled, Green Pickles found themselves on top with a 6-3-1 result, finishing just ahead of Blew Chunks at 6-4. Third place went to Pains In The Ass at 5-4-1 and last but not least, WrapYour Tulips Around This finished with a 2-8 record.

In the semi-finals, 3rd place Pains In The Ass made quick work of #2 seed Blew Chunks defeating them in 2 straight games to advance to the gold while cellar dwellers Wrap Your Tulips Around This stunned top ranked Green Pickles 2-1 to earn their spot in the championship final.

In the medal round, Blew Chunks earned a bronze with an impressive 2-0 series sweep over a dazed and confused Green Pickles squad while Pains In The Ass completed their perfect 4-0 playoff run with a pair of victories over Wrap Your Tulips Around This to capture the gold. Congratulations Pains In The Ass on your well earned Dodge Ball Cup victory tonight!
