Write Up:It all began when someone down under asked me if I could set up an event to Lake Louise - the reply was late in coming, but on April 1st, we would go - and that's no joke!
The early risers and hard core enthusiasts set out before 6:30am and koodo's for Mitko for getting up 10 minutes prior and rushing out to meet us. As we drove along Hwy 1, it was sad to see the snow all gone. Fields were left bare, and yellow. The blue sky appeared early and we fore saw something amazing that day - we would have sunshine!
How can I sum up the skiing? Well,...it was fantastic! The snow was spectacular - especially along the back side. There were a few blinding moments, long runs that ran forever (especially for 2 of us), and fun conversations and laughs on the chair lifts!
Sarah and I barely made it to lunch as we decided to ski down from the top of the Gondola - who knew snow plowing it would take 45 minutes? But, the greeting down below was worth it, as were the few beverages to numb our legs!
What a fantastic day -thanks to George and Andrew for helping me drive out there today.
