Sun, Jul 6 2003 - Mt. St. Piran: Lake Louise to Agnes Lake Tea House (View Original Event Details)

When we met at the carpool location in the morning it looked like we might be in for some rain but as we drove out to the mountains things cleared up and the sun came out, lifting our spirits as we started the hike at Lake Louise.
We hiked up to the tea house with hordes of tourists and horses, trying to avoid evidence left by previous horses. At the teahouse we scored some prime seating and enjoyed tea and treats - Johanne got the yummy apple crumble which we highly recommend. Everything was twice as good because of the great views.
Having energized ourselves at the teahouse, all of us continued the hike up to the summit of Mt. St. Piran. The effort was well rewarded with amazing 360 degree views from the top of the mountain.
At the end of the hike our legs had turned to Jello but we managed to drag ourselves to Wild Bill's in Banff for drinks and dinner.
