HAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA
WHATA Ride! A GREAT group of people came out, ones that were not daunted by threatening clouds.
We got like 10 drops of rain, then glorious sunshine and a *double* rainbow as we crossed the new foot bridge into the East Village and finished riding back to the Fish Hatchery.
Seriously, we (as usual) DIDN'T get rained on and had a great ride through the city. Even the paths were all 99+% dry, a few minor puddles here and there, but the paths were basically perfectly dry.
We saw about 100 pellicans on a sandbar in the Bow, a couple deer in Carburn park and a few other critters under the 17th Ave SE bridge.
Then a large percentage of us went to the Hose n Hound for some meatballs. Oh yeah, and some re-hydrating liquids.
Then shortly after that I wrote this write-up. (Maybe I should change that order in the future)
I'm going to make every new rider signing up a week in advance for my events read this write-up in the future.
Gord
PS: THANK YOU to all you keeners that came out!
PPS 36.7 km !! and Early & Mich still got in 33.2, so good job all!
