GRIZZLY!!!! It's not like the gorgeous weather, fabulous company and amazing scenery weren't enough but we were also treated to a lengthy grizzly bear performance just before reaching the lake! Oh how sweet it was to observe a grizzly going about his business for well over an hour before finally giving our cameras a break and heading off for lunch. Afterwards, on our way to the elephant rocks we encountered the bear again and couldn't help but admire him a bit longer. We eventually made it to the rocks where we explored, climbed and generally had fun for about an hour or so before making our way back. On the way down we crossed paths with a conservation officer who informed us the trail had now been closed at the trailhead so we basically had the place to ourselves the rest of the way down. We couldn't have asked for a better day!
