Write Up:Thanks to all of those who came. The hike through the woods was pleasant. We got a fair bit of
rain at Bourgeau Lake but in spite of that all 19 members present charged on to Harvey Pass. The
weather showed some signs of improving and six hardy members decided to proceed towards the
summit. After about 10 minutes they gave up too due to sleet, snow, and blowing wind. With
wind-chill it would've easily been sub zero. Quite a few in the party complained of frozen
fingers. The summit was also completely cloud-covered and wouldn't offer any better views than
were had from Harvey Pass. Everyone got back safely. For those who haven't been to the summit,
we hope another opportunity arises soon.
