Sat, Jun 17 2006 - North Ribbon Creek to Memorial Lakes - Janet's group (View Original Event Details)
|
The hike started with eighteen people that included Marg's group. We got to see the creek in its full wonder with some great views of how powerful water can be as well we braved the creek by crossing over it by logs. At the falls, Marg's group stayed behind to take in the falls while my group went to find the lakes. We once again got a chance to traverse the creek as well as do some scrambling to the third lake. The views seemed to get better and better as we went further up. Of the three lakes, the second lake was the best with its blue-green colour as well as the peace you felt sitting next to it. A definite must do again hike but probably more in July or August when the creek is not flowing so high.
Thanks to Steve for keeping us on right path. The MVP award definitely goes to you.
I look forward to seeing you all out in the great outdoors again.
