Mount Astley is mean. There is a reason this mountain doesn't get climbed often. Attempt this peak when you have lost hope in life. We didn't make it to the summit as the final 100m is exposed, loose and difficult. Malcolm's write up: Mt. Astley, Banff National Park. A long, trackless walk in, leading to a long steep, trackless scree ascent to a very crumbly ridgeline. Another summit failure!
