Write Up:We hit the target right on the bulls-eye today! The larch trees up in Gibbon Pass were as prime
as could be. The rain did not happen nor did the snow that was in the forecast. We made good
time getting to the Pass so there was no doubt we would make a successful summit visit to
Gibbon Pass “Peak”. The views were outstanding from up there in all directions. We could see
meadows and ridges in the far off distances covered in gold. Yes, there is gold in them there
hills! Thank you Henk for helping me with the driving today. Thank you everyone for sharing in
making this an enjoyable day. I hope to hit the trails with you again another time. Andra
