Write Up:
What a beautiful day we had! We even picked up two Americans, Jonas and Sheira, that really wanted to do the hike, but all they needed was a group! We were eleven due to an unexpected no show and needed one more person to split off into two groups if need be.

We had:
Sunshine - gorgeous scenery, Larch Valley was brilliant, Sentinel Pass was amazing - the double vision in the un-named lake was fantastic to see. I am so glad we started as early as we did. Lunch at the Pinnacles was a zoo - marmots, chipminks were swarming around like the mosquitoes in Larch Valley. And let's not forget the incredible black bikini! The temperature didn't even change - it was so warm and hot out! Talk about the blisters...the sun...the tans...then sunburns...the awful hikers' tan...why did I have to wear gaiters? Or pull the socks up? Rumbles, roars, and avalanches! Did you see those climbers? Photo shot here, and there, this angle and that. How things changed as we moved along. Oh, have to get one more photo! The conversations will be unforgotten, and the long descent home will be celebrated as I write this. Did we really hike 20.4km in 7 hours? Wow!

Thanks to those who scrambled in the last two days and still made it out today to hike with us! Thanks to Sheira and Jonas who drove from the States to hang out with us! Thanks to John, Andrea, Cezary, and me for driving today. Thanks to those who waited patiently at the end to get our cars back. Thanks to everyone for a fabulous hike!

See you again next time!
