A spectacular day in K Country with clear blue skies and very mild temperatures. As expected, just a handful of cars greeted us at the trailhead (one of the perks of weekday hiking) so we pretty much had the trail to ourselves. Trail conditions were good with mainly hard packed snow throughout but icers made for an easier time, especially on the steeper sections. We enjoyed an extended lunch by the lake under the bright warm sunshine before reluctantly packing up and heading back.
