Write Up:It's definitely spring in Banff! While these are hardly 'real' summits, we managed to hike a total
of 14.1km wit 1,173m of elevation gain - not bad for March. Stoney Squaw was quick and easy
with nice compact and frozen snow - no mud. Tunnel Mountain was muddier and icier, but it
was so warm having lunch up at the slabs. T-shirts and no jackets needed here. Sulphur
Mountain again offered a 'clean' (snowy) trail, but slowed us down a touch in sections where the
snow got softer. The Banff Alpenglow Festival is still on, so we enjoyed an hour sitting in the
warm sun, as well as the rooftop dome with comfy seats and nice faux fur blankets. Len jumped
at the opportunity of free summit s'mores, roasting them on the gas campfires. We took the
gondola down before soaking in the hot springs - still +15C out and sunny - before stopping at
the Elk and Oarsmen for bite to eat. We left fulfilled. Great day with great company.
