Well, that was some great BIIIIIG one millimeter... the forecast for today said a chance of thunder showers in the afternoon, but less than one millimeter of precipitation. You could not prove that by us, since, just as we finished up our lunch, the rain started and did not quit until we were done hiking out, and everyone was completely drenched.

We did about 13 kms today (we think) as we went beyond the maintained trail, up above the bump (beneath the actual glacier). I have heard good and bad things about this hike - some people like the hike through the burned forest, and some don't care for it. I found it to be very lovely, with lots of flowers and other new growth on the ground. I'm sure it would be wonderful if it weren't for those rogue millimeters of precipitation. :)
