I would like to apologize right up-front to Dave for this write-up….

Nary a COC-Bunny was to be seen as our Shuttle-COC headed out this morning half-COCed with only six Slowpokes and six Moderates (plus Lana and Blaine from the overnighter). With the fluctuating temperatures on the way up, our COC-of-the-walk, Dave, got cold-COCed and had to add a layer once we broke through the tree-line. We had two COC-suckers out today – Lana who got talked into taking over the overnight event for Marty who ended up working instead, and Nicole who caved to my sniveling about my inadequate lunch and shared her yummy blueberries with me. Nicole also earned the distinction of being the COC-biter for the day when she ran into a tree and fell into the bushes, getting a few good scrapes in the process. In spite of some lively conversation, touching on politics at several points, there were no COC-fights reported. To my knowledge, no COC-apoos occurred during the day, but a couple of pee-COCs were assumed to happen, although thankfully, we did not actually see them first-hand. I was very pleased to have Princess Shelley, one of my favorite COC-buddies out hiking with me today as I just haven’t gotten to spend enough time with her this summer. Given the relatively short and easy nature of the hike, it is not too likely that any of us will be stiff-COCs tomorrow.

I swear every word of this story is true – it is not a conCOCted COC-amamie COC-tale.
