Write Up:Our group moved steadilly and were at the top by 1100, after
starting at 0830. After spending an hour at the summit, we took
about 2 hours to get down. The weather was perfect, with light
breezes above treeline on a a sunny day. While Copeland's guidebook
suggests the first km involves a lot of creek crossing and turning,
it is now much more straightforward. From the Mt. Burke car park
(well signed) 0.7km down the campground road, follow the old roadbed
that begins at the end of the lot for about 200 metres until it
becomes single-track and begins its rise out of the valley. Stay on
it. We found the entire trail quite well-defined. Even above
treeline, it was never so faint that one couldn't deduce where one
should be going.
