It was an absolutely gorgeous winter evening on the banks of the Bow River with a phenomenal group of COC'ers. Leaving Pearce Estate Park we made our way along the dark and deserted Bow River Pathway enjoying a level of serenity rarely experienced in the city. As we crossed the bridge towards St Patrick's Island the colourful lights of downtown came alive causing everyone to reach for their cameras.
Once we arrived on the island things got even more interesting as we all took part in an impromptu curling match where Karen was awarded best shot. Next we moved on to "The Rise" and took turns flying down the hill on a crazy carpet. Boy did that bring back some childhood memories, what a blast! lol
Finally we left the island via the George C. King bridge and made our way into the East Village where we treated ourselves to some well earned pizza slices before heading back. Many thanks to a wonderful group of COC'ers for turning a simple walk into such a fun night!
