It was -34C at Nakiska ridgetop the morning of our event. With trepidation, we set out for Highwood Pass and the trailhead. Much to our surprise, there were other people in the parking lot. We bundled up and geared up and set out! We didn't seem to mind that we totally missed the trail or that it was super cold out...we were warm having some laughs and having fun. We made it to the cirque...had a very brief lunch and headed back to the car. We stopped at Woody's in Kananaskis Village and had something to eat, a beer and a few more laughs! What a great day!
I would rather spend a cold day with wonderful people than a wonderful day with cold people! Thanks to Toni and Anja for making the trip the fun adventure that it was!
