While the day was hot, most of the hike up to Lillian Lake was in the shade. After a stop at Lillian Lake to admire the clear green water and the new composting outhouse, we felt ready to tackle the climb to Galatea Lake. We are glad we did, as the water was a beautiful turqoiuse blue, reminiscent of the Caribbean, and there was a cool breeze off the lake. We had lunch at this picturesque spot. On the way back we cooled off by filling our caps in the creek and scared off the bears by singing.
