Write Up:We left promptly at 8am for our long drive to Lake Louise. Got stuck in construction once we were on the Moraine Lake Road - can't seem to shake off road construction anywhere these days! We made it up to the pass in 3h45mins and down in 2h30mins - which was a big surprise to most of us, as we had the idea it would take 7-8 hours. The cool breeze was welcoming, the Laggan's stop at the start was not as exciting as they had run out of Ham and Cheese Croissants!!! OMG! I told everyone in my car about them and then when we got there, we had to settle for soggy plain croissants and Spinach and some kind of cheese croissants instead. A quick stop back again at the end - and we were out of Louise.
Thanks to Anthony for all his great info on the hostels in the back country. Looking forward to joining HI - in Southern Alberta - see banner for more details!
Thanks to Carol for driving three of us out there!
See you again soon!
